BARB Search & Rescue, is an independent charity run by a dedicated team of local volunteers, and founded in 1992. Due to the exceptionally high, fast-rising tides and treacherous, deep, sinking mud, often hidden beneath a deceptive layer of sand, BARB is an imperative asset to the safety of its residence and visitors.

Operating two rescue hovercraft and two inshore rescue boats, BARB is on-call 24/7 responding to a wide range of emergencies, and has saved hundreds of lives over the years as a direct result of the charities assets and flexibility.

Join us for an unforgettable evening at our “BARB Ball” in support of lifesaving BARB Search and Rescue. This special event brings together our community to celebrate the dedication and courage of those volunteers who go above and beyond to keep others safe.

Live Band Extravaganza: Guests will enjoy a vibrant atmosphere featuring a live band, Six Machine, who guarantee to create the perfect backdrop for a night of music and dancing. They celebrate world famous artists including Bruno Mars, Adele, Elton John, The Bee Gees, Guns ‘n’ Roses and The Killers to name but a few.

Throughout the evening, you’ll have the opportunity to take part in our exciting auction and raffles, with fantastic prizes up for grabs, all in aid of supporting vital rescue operations, training, and equipment.

Your support and generosity will directly contribute to helping our team continue their critical work, saving lives when every second counts. We look forward to sharing this memorable evening with you.

Exquisite 3-Course Menu: Every dish is carefully curated by our chef to provide a feast for both the eyes and the palate.

Starter:

• Baked mushroom in rich cheddar cheese sauce with salad and focaccia
• Avocado, king prawn and fennel cocktail
• Soup – cream of tomato and basil (vegan)

Main Course:

• A supreme of chicken breast with Thatchers cider, cream and sage sauce
• Slow roasted braising steak, red wine, shallot and mushroom sauce
• Roasted Mediterranean vegetable strudel with rich tomato and basil sauce (vegan)

Dessert:

• Mini trio of desserts: mini chocolate brownie, strawberry & prosecco cheesecake, lemon tart
